Aside from that being a meaningless, worst case example, an "overhead"
of .047 seconds is hardly worth worrying about unless the command in
question is run multiple times per minute, all the time.
And besides:
$ time perl -e 1
real 0m0.008s
Perl is 6 times faster than Python! :)
