Hm, is this, because they already bought a working one in the past? Or
why is this? I did not buy a new sound card since 1998 or so, as well.
But this is only because all new mainboards I bought still supported
PCI, so I can still use it.

Ive not brought one in years, I jsut use whatever is onboard. I have no need
to but something highend for my needs.
