"has the ability" is not "on by default". If you want that level of
anonymity, you have to turn it on. Also then changing your hostname,
enabling an option to not send it, etc. is not a big deal (or could even
be part of a combined "anonymize me" checkbox).
This is about the default hostname; that configuration should be at the
same level as other default options.
