Would probably be interesting to think what happened to make people
agree that it is a good idea. I am sure there are good reasons,
specially when there's an active developer wanting to do some work on
it. If/when the original packager comes back, if the newcomer's been
doing a good job, there should not be much to regret really.
In theory anyway :-)
Collaborative package maintainership makes this much *much* easier to
handle, avoiding people getting too attached to the ownership of the
package. Without it, it's always too short or two long...
