A lot of this is boiler-plate code, there really isn't too much to
this.
And there are python bindings to do all this too, however I don't know
if we package those either.

Hrm, I meant the code that drives what options are visible when I right
click the desktop. I see an itch that people may want scratched with a
small package that just adds the terminal option back to the right click
menu.
