The DVDs and CDs include repodata directories, so they're full yum
repositories themselves. You sure could add entries to
/etc/yum.repos.d/ pointing at them.
this would work for the DVD but not for CDs because if a dep or package
is on an other cd yum wont find it and it also wont aks for a CD to get
inserted.
