2009/11/5 Andy Shevchenko <andy.shevchenko(a)gmail.com>:
Hello.
I have got few bugs [1] about conflicts between qstat (package) and
torque-client where qstat is a POSIX registered name for some special
service.
Upstream as far as I know is like dead than alive. Thus, better
solution to rename binary is not so simple.
Nowadays the Conflicts: field is filled in the qstat.spec but
torque-client doesn't have such field (and I understand the point).
So, my idea is to ask upstream to change binary name and
simultaneously raise discussion at distributions-list@fdo to do the
same if upstream doesn't appear.
Any comments, suggestions?

There have been various comments in a former thread raised about the
conflict a few days ago. Basically everyone involved into the
discussion agreed that changing the binary name of qstat is the way to
go. I guess the only program that has to be patched is xqf.
