Sure, it would be nice to avoid the warning, and I will work on
something for glibc in rawhide to support this. But I would also like
to understand if ldconfig is actually using the wrong path.
So you're expecting to see $RPM_BUILD_ROOT/etc/ld.so.conf as the
reported path right?
That doesn't seem to be how the -r option to ldconfig works though
because it chroots so as far as it's concerned the relative path is
the path it is accessing:
% sudo strace ldconfig -N -r /tmp
...
chroot("/tmp") = 0
chdir("/") = 0
openat(AT_FDCWD, "/etc/ld.so.conf", O_RDONLY) = -1 ENOENT (No such file
or directory)
...
ldconfig: Warning: ignoring configuration file that cannot be opened:
/etc/ld.so.conf: No such file or directory
