Not sure about firefox but atleast xulrunner and thus spidermonkey
should help any app that uses them.
Why have some regular users leave oprofile running for a bit and find
out what is actually consuming cpu cycles on a typical fedora desktop?
(I don't really have access to any of those, regular users, or I'd
post numbers instead of this suggestion).
