when fc4 comes out with yum 2.3.X in it - I'd like to hear your take on
if yum is still coming out slower than apt for your use.
some very smart people have made it faster in many different ways.

Seth, took me a bit to find this post again but I wanted to let you know
that the newest yum is in fact much faster even the 'yum search' which
used to be considerably slower than apt. Thanks! :)
