Please don't drop that. I have a large install base of SBCs using geode
and some on savage and s3virge IIRC. I need at least the VESA fallback,
although I suspect that may not suffice in some cases.
Yeah, I don't think anyone's planning on dropping VESA support. It's
just that supporting it at the moment means that we continue to support
some UMS drivers, which makes it difficult to stick to a "KMS or
