It was retired as it was shown on the right hand side of the page. It
was orphaned after I wrote the final email, therefore it was not
additionally announced:

I unretired it in pkgdb/koji, so you can restore it in dist-git. However
a F21 branch is missing and needs to be requested via an SCM admin
request.
Sorry, I should've been clear - I personally don't want to resurrect it,
it's just that someone asked on IRC how they could find out why it was
dropped, and as I investigated, I noticed that I couldn't find an
announcement for it on devel@. thanks for the info!
