Yes this is how nodejs/npm work - the npm package is built
from the nodejs source but has it's own version to the package
version is done as:
<npm_version>-<npm_release>.<nodejs_version>.<nodejs_release>
So currently in F33 you have:
nodejs-14.15.4-1.fc33.x86_64
npm-6.14.10-1.14.15.4.1.fc33.x86_64
