"has the ability" is not "on by default". If you want that level of
anonymity, you have to turn it on. Also then changing your hostname,
enabling an option to not send it, etc. is not a big deal (or could even
be part of a combined "anonymize me" checkbox).
Yes, I think it makes a
lot of sense to expose both under the same
configuration switch. Sending the hostname while randomizing MAC address or
vice versa just isn't useful.
