OOo will attempt to embed fonts if the TrueType font's license allows
OOo to do so (permission to embed is stored in the font).

I don't think it's a problem with gpdf finding the fonts, but rather
it knowing how to use them properly. (Also, the fonts are probably
actually embedded in the PDF file.)
