Pantheon's struggles are more evidence of GNOME's lack of courtesy to
the larger ecosystem leveraging their stack. I wish it wasn't like
this. :(
To elucidate, libsoup is the straw that broke the camel's back here.
There have been numerous problems over the years caused by breakages
in the GNOME stack. The biggest one being Mutter. I'm really sad to
see Pantheon go, because it's a great desktop environment.
