Interesting. Any plans for RedHat/Fedora to switch
to Conary?
One difference between this proposal and conary is
that we would
try to remain compatible with a .rpm based system.
In other
words, the output of our system would be regular
.src.rpm's
that could be built/installed/etc. by existing
tools.
rpm might be considered a legacy format if conary is
choosen but I am not sure its past the experimental
stage yet. It has been developed by ex redhat guys and
I saw a few people blogging about it. The presentation
on kernel meet was interesting
