not officially planned, but plan to try to get to at
some point.
Well, what's more interesting is a failover system when you poll several
sources of the same channels (maybe that's how yum already works, from
your description it doesn't look like this)
ie : poll upstream source, first-level mirror and deep-level mirror.
Download most packages from deep-level, then packages that didn't make
it yet from first-level, then packages just updated from source.
This way you have the benefits of mirroring (lightening the load on the
core servers) without the problems (out-of-sync mirrors).
Ideally you could even have a loopback iso as lowest source.
