ATrpms,
so I am grateful for Axel's work, and the last thing I want to do is alienate
him or have him stop caring about fedora. While I would like the distribution
to contain protectbase, I'd have no problem swithching it on, so a compromise
that it is shipped disabled would be fine with me.
I am in the same boat with Willem. I would not be a MythTV user if it
weren't for the work Axel, Jarod and others have done to make MythTV
easy to install on Fedora. Thanks!
I also have extensive experience with yum at work; we use it to manage
over 5,000 RHEL workstations and servers. As a home user of yum, I
found protectbase to be a "good thing" (tm).
If it were included in FC5 but disabled, I think that would be a step in
the right direction.
