As luck would have it, I found that the x86_64 patch for mozilla-1.6 also
works for firefox (at least it compiles). I probably will not get rpms built
until tomorrow. When I do, I will put it out on a server and post a notice
here as well as to fedora.us

Besides compiling, I would like to make sure that it basically works.
This isn't really my decision, but I think we should not bother
distributing 64bit mozilla or firefox unless all of the popular plugin
providers also distribute 64bit gcc 3.3.x plugins. The browser is not
very useful without the plugins for end users.
Nothing stops 3rd party repositories from doing so though...
