Hi,
It doesn't help that there doesn't seem to be a way to use
systemd's
own container technologies to do these things in a more lightweight,
yet compatible fashion. nspawn currently only does OS style
containers, where you have another PID 1 inside.
Hmm?
I have a fedora 23 container on my rhel workstation, mostly for
testbuilds.
I can of course do a full-blown boot (then login, install/update
things, ...).
I can also run stuff directly in the container just fine, i.e.
"systemd-nspawn -D $root --bind /home make -C $HOME/src/$project".
cheers,
Gerd
