Ok so still have them separate but include stage2 in the boot.iso. Most
people will do the graphical install and thus will need the bigger memory
requirements and can skip the time consuming stage2 download. The text
install will work the same. I think this is what you meant by balloon
memory requirements?
Also for PXE-installs it would be very nice to have stage2 loaded from
the TFTP-server (which is usually "local") instead of the more often
remote mirror for the rest of the packages.
I don't mind waiting a while for the install to finish. During that
time I can most often do something else. But it is quite annoying to
have to wait several minutes for the download of stage2 just so I can
get started with the installation.
