I found the description somewhat overcomplicated, if you just want to rebuild use
rpm -ihv kerne-package.src.rpm
rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` ~/rpmbuild/SPECS/kernel.spec
If you *just* want to rebuild, 'rpmbuild --rebuild
kernel-package.src.rpm' is even simpler. You only need to install the
srpm bits if you're going to actually change something. It only gets
complex if you want to patch things, modify config options, etc.
