chown root:eng /mnt/eng
chmod 070 /mnt/eng
chmod g+s /mnt/eng
No, it still makes the this possible:

Another cause for promples like these is extracting archives that contain
files or directories with strange permissions, e.g. no group executable flag
for directories.
