What do you propose instead? Revert the removal, exposing SELinux
and other issues because some tools do not deal properly with
hardlinks?
If there's an SELinux problem maybe that could have been described in
the public announcement for this change? My objection is the one
sentence explanation (which doesn't mention SELinux) hidden in a bug
report somewhere and then the removal happening 3 days later.
