I'm probably a too old man to understand that (a few seconds of boot)
time saving is preferable than (keeping some degrees of) freedom.
Anyway, almost all is not all and undoubtfully not all hardware-to-be.

Well, ehci-hcd is not Alsa maintainers dependent and as can be seen in
the attached emails, we do our best effort for having the patch
integrated in the next kernel release. However, such integration always
requires some times while we are also able, presently (ans since about 8
months), to propose a patched module for interested users, a fairly
better way than a full compiled kernel. And such a situation will be
probably encountered for other hardwares in a near future.

Fedora 11 Release Notes Update
by ryan lerch
Hi all,
I have finished creating a mockup of the fedora 11 release notes [1]
This document has a slightly different structure than what has been
used in the past, so any comments or ideas for improvement will be
apreciated.
To make changes to the release notes, still edit the beats [2] on the
wiki, and then i can convert those changes over to DocBook (using
publican) and update the mockup[1]
Hopefully this slightly different approach will allow us to have a
better idea of what the release notes are going to loook like a bit
eariler on in the development cycle.
Cheers,
ryanlerch

getting kernel bug fix into a fedora kernel
by Mark Salter
Back in October, I reported a kernel bug against rawhide: BZ#467457. I
submitted a one-line patch which was accepted upstream in November. Here
it is 3 months later and I still can't install F10 on this hw because
that fix is not in F10. So what is the process for getting a kernel bug
fix into fedora?

F9 and power devil frondend
by Joshua C.
Is there some frontend for powerdevil? I'm still with f9 and
kpowersave works fine but it's based on kde3.5. with kde4.2 powerdevil
is much better integrated but I cannot find any plasmoids/frondends
for it. Now both kpowersave and powerdevil work on my mashine and I'd
like to replace the kpowersave. Any ideas how to put it in the
taskbar?

olpcsound
by Michael Schwendt
Hi Peter! (Cc fedora-devel-list)
What is your role with regard to the "olpcsound" package?
https://admin.fedoraproject.org/pkgdb/packages/name/olpcsound
You are not listed as co-maintainer.
You don't seem to notice the bug reports,
but you did the builds for Fedora 10 and Rawhide.
The bugzilla assignee doesn't know why the package is in F10 and Rawhide.
Please clear this up.
Thank you in advance,
