Fedora 10 and dmraid
by Jesse Keating
One of the last sets of blocker bugs for Fedora 10 involve dmraid. It
appears that some classes of dmraid capable systems (maybe just intel)
are not working well, or at all. If any of you out there have dmraid
systems, please give Fedora 10 Preview or later an install attempt, or
even just boot the installer to see if anaconda correctly assembles your
dmraid arrays. You don't have to go through with the installation, we
just want to see if you /could/.
The relevant bugs are:
468649
467904
470634
470543
and possibly more. If you already know of existing dmraid bugs that are
not listed above, please bring them to my attention.
We have very little time left in the 10 development cycle, and I really
would not want to slip 2~ weeks (to get around holidays) just for dmraid
on some platforms.

I've started work on packaging perl-PDL 2.4.4. Got a src.rpm that
compiles, but some tests are segfaulting. Just a heads up....

libgnomecanvas owns %{_libdir}/libglade
by Debarshi Ray
I need to put a symlink in %{_libdir}/libglade/2.0/ [1] and found that
it is libgnomecanvas that owns it and not libglade in Fedora 9.
[rishi@freebook ~]$ rpm -qf /usr/lib64/libglade/
libgnomecanvas-2.20.1.1-2.fc9.x86_64
[rishi@freebook ~]$
Is this how it is supposed to be? Or is this a bug?
Cheers,
Debarshi

network install and stage2.img: what i'm missing?
by Stjepan Gros
Hi all!
I'm trying to do PXE boot and network install of F10, but I can not
pass the step where I have to enter URL from which installation should
be done. Every time installer complains that it can not download
stage2.img. Looking into rawhide, as well as all F10 snapshots that
were released, there is no stage2.img to be found anywhere.
So, what am I missing here?

Macros in %files
by Orion Poplawski
I'm reworking my plplot.spec and seeing the following build failure:
Processing files: plplot-5.9.0-2.svn8985.fc11
+ exit 0
error: File must begin with "/": %{python_sitearch}/_plplotcmodule.so
spec has:
%{!?python_sitearch: %define python_sitearch %(%{__python} -c "from
distutils.sysconfig import get_python_lib; print get_python_lib(1)")}
at the top, and then:
%files
%defattr(-,root,root,-)
%{_docdir}/plplot-%{version}/
%{_bindir}/plm2gif
%{_bindir}/plpr
%{_bindir}/pltek
%{_bindir}/pstex2eps
%{python_sitearch}/_plplotcmodule.so
This has always worked before.
Problems started showing up after I started using %bcond_without
directives. Any weirdness to watch out for there?
This is all in plplot/devel cvs. scratch build:

a trivial fix makes a big change
by Muayyad AlSadi
I made a trivial fix to this bug
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=447072#c1
nautilus-share now works, just right click share and you are there
the problem is that this package is broken since the F9 and it's an
orphan package
how can we manage to get it working a gain
can it be in F10 or it's too late for that an I should hope that it
would be in F11
note: the fix is trivial which is to replace the directory name from
-1.0 to -2.0
a second thing I want to request a feature for F11
that this package works with zero user configuration
just installing this package, ie. to make the changes in the smb.conf
to be default
