Hi Bill, a detailed walkthrough of what needs to happen would be great
for something to work towards. I'll take a stab at what I've gathered
support for UEFI means for Cobbler means so far:
- Get efi images copied into tftpboot directory.
- Any ideas where these come from? I see grub installs one on my
system but I'm assuming I need 32 and 64 bit both, based on Fedora
links?
- Generate a new boot menu separate from pxeboot.
- I'm totally lost on the details on this, I see
/var/lib/tftpboot/X86PC/UNDI/pxelinux/efidefault in the Fedora links,
is this all there is too it? Would these looks exactly like the
Cobbler entries in /var/lib/tftpboot/pxelinux.cfg/? The format looks
different, almost just plain grub syntax.
- Modify the default dhcpd template in templates/dhcp.template.
Should these changes be active for all Cobbler deployments by default?
Any tips for how to determine if hardware is UEFI compatible?
Any tips for virtualized UEFI testing if hardware is unavailable? I
had something half working by replacing my qemu boot image with an efi
one but didn't get too far with it yet.
Cheers,
Devan

Hi Devan,
I don't know too much more than you. But Peter Jones pointed me to these
Fedora test pages...
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:Testcase_UEFI_pxeboot
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Test_Day:2009-04-09_UEFI
https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Features/EFI
If you still have questions after looking those over (especially the first
one), then ask and I'll probably pick Peters head. :-)
