Two patches from first-time contributer
by cobbler.20.dlobue@neverbox.com
Hi Everyone,
Let me start off by saying that cobbler is awesome :) I use it a ton
at work and its a life safer!
The first patch I attached is a rewrite of the snippet select function
(ie- per_system, per_profile, etc.) to also be able to handle
distro-specific snippets. I also made the function a bit more compact
by turning it into a for loop.
Some of the server applications we use require older versions of RHEL,
and sadly Centos5.2 kickstart scripts won't work with RHEL3. By using
per-distro snippets I was able to use one kickstart for RHEL3, RHEL4,
and RHEL5.
In the same vein, while setting up RHEL3 provisioning through Cobbler
I discovered that specifying port numbers in the distro string is not
supported by the version of Anaconda that is on the RHEL3 installer.
My fix was to specify the port a repo server could be found on only if
it was non-standard.
I've been using that code for several months now, so I'm reasonably
certain that there aren't any problems with the code. But if I missed
anything please let me know.
