Hi,
Here are my first patches :)
About me: My name is Jasper Poppe, 28 years old, live in the Netherlands and work for
eBay and I would like to join the team to improve Cobbler. I would focus in the beginning
on the Debian side. (In the past I worked with Jasper Capel for Stone-IT.)
I have the following patches at git@github.com:jpoppe/cobbler.git :
In my bugfixes-master (master branch):
- Bugfix - Fixed typo for dnsmasq service restart, os.ssytem => os.system
Applied, thanks!
In my debianize (devel branch):
- Bugfix above
- Fixed Init script to be working on Debian
- Much improved Debian package building
- Added 2 settings for better Multi OS support
I see you've added new settings to settings.py(), so that users know
they are there can you also please add them to
installer_templates/settings ? This is the file we use in setup.py to
create the default
settings file (/etc/cobbler/settings).
- Fixed various small Debian/Multi OS things
When I add the following packages from testing, the deb installs, the command line is now
working, DHCP support also,
I will probably continue the next weeks months with patching until everything works
flawless in Debian/Ubuntu.
http://ftp.ch.debian.org/debian/pool/main/p/python-netaddr/python-netaddr...
http://ftp.cz.debian.org/debian/pool/main/p/python-support/python-support...
I will also add my Debian notes/guide(s) to the Cobbler Wiki in the near future.
This is my first patch ever, so I hope I did everything well (Thanks to Jasper Capel for
the help ;)).
Yes, looks very good, thank you! I appreciate the added intrest in
cross-OS support. That will be very nice to have and help expand our
userbase nicely (which is always good).
