Well tomorrow, is going to be complicated for me, maybe the day after
towmorrow.
But the question on the domains is simple
Does Rodrigo want to transfers the domain, if so to whom?
If that is not an option, there is nothing to talk about, and will be
best not to send fedorians to contribute with data to a site that is not
the project site.
Rewarding the transfer
We suggested Jarded and was choose on a vote from the latam community,
not my will or his, who for anyone that don't know him was Fedora
project leader and is active member of Fedora community and has given
and still support latam.
The reason why we suggested Jared and voted for him was simple because
we did not wanted this to happen again and we planed and he agreed to
passed to Fedora Project.
Back Rodrigo answer was not to transfer.
We can put it on someone inside the community, but the issue I see is if
this person change his mind and is not a member of the community anymore
or what if for some reason could not pay, I can pay it for a couple
years now but not sure what happen later on live changes.
The reason, that is mention over and over again that could be a legal
issues because there are mentions or material in the site that could be
a legal issue for fedora or if the owner is US citizen, well the
registrar of the domain is in the US so if some find it liable or want
to shutdown it because it content it can do it easily as the registrar
is subject to the US law, I think the same is with the hosting.
So that excuse is not good for me.
If this domain were paid by Red Hat latam, why we were notified when the
domain was going to expired, that they were not going to paid for it,
I'm pretty sure that if we address that issue back them with fedora
community something good could came out.
But handle it on close doors was not a good idea.
Personally, the damage is already done. I don't promote any domain that
is not the project or under the community, the
Fedora-latam.org domain
that I bought for latam is register by me paid by me, and 3 member of
the latam community has access to the registrar account. So if I died
tomorrow someone else can manage, the same happen with the hosting
sponsor by Bluehost thanks to Jared.

hoje as 16h (GMT -3). Ok?
@Alejandro - Its ok to you, today 16h (GMT-3) to talk about latam
domains?

projetofedora.org é do Rodrigo e qualquer colaboracao nele
dono Fedora / Red Hat.
eu e as
assunto ?
