Hi, I'm surprised you haven't done so already, but you need
to enable
kernel/page table isolation in the i686 kernel immediately!
1. The SIG does not create/compile the kernel itself. It works with
the Fedora Kernel team to produce kernels.
2. I am not sure that the patches have been made upstream to work on
i686 yet. There are multiple variants and problems with some waiting
for work from Intel in the upstream kernel. Because of this we all
need to be clear when asking what is being fixed.
i686 is also vulnerable to the Meltdown and Spectre flaws in Intel
CPUs, all
Intel CPUs past 1995 are!
Yes they are.
Thanks.
