Hi all, Do we know what the status of the i686 composes are? Looks like we have a failure related to booting into Anaconda, but I don't know that I'm reading the report and results correctly. Updating Fedora 26 -> 27 fails - "problem with installed package grub2-efi"

I'm trying to upgrade my x86 laptop to Fedora 27 but consistently get the following: root@nellie 07:54:07 ~ # dnf system-upgrade download --refresh --releasever=27 Before you continue ensure that your system is fully upgraded by running "dnf --refresh upgrade". Do you want to continue [y/N]: y RPM Fusion for Fedora 27 - Free - Updates 81 kB/s | 39 kB 00:00 Last metadata expiration check: 0:00:00 ago on Fri 17 Nov 2017 07:55:33 GMT. Error: Problem: package grub2-efi-1:2.02-0.40.fc26.i686 requires grub2-tools = 1:2.02-0.40.fc26, but none of the providers can be installed - grub2-tools-1:2.02-0.40.fc26.i686 does not belong to a distupgrade repository - problem with installed package grub2-efi-1:2.02-0.40.fc26.i686 root@nellie 07:55:38 ~ # If I try removing grub2-efi in the hope that the upgrade will then proceed I run the risk of leaving the machine totally unbootable. Kernel 4.13 issues

Hi all, Looks like we have a handful of bugs related to kernel 4.13 and i686: Bug 1506892 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1506892) Apparently related to insert of a DVD or DVD-RW. The kernel panics due to a NULL pointer. User has an ASUS P50IJ laptop, which is a core 2 duo, but is using it with an i686 install. Bug 1508757 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1508757) No details on activity leading up to this. Looks like it might be a tainted kernel warning due to an unhandled paging request. My knowledge is very limited in this area, so I'm guessing. :) Same user and hardware as the previous one. Can't tell if the issues are related, however. Bug 1438258 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1438258) Bug 1498725 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1498725) Bug 1506749 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1506749) Bug 1507055 (https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1507055) These all appear to be related. They all involve a corrupted screen in graphical mode. Don't know if this is the loading screen or if it makes it all the way to the display manager before getting corrupted. Apparently there is a patch that resolves at least one of the issues: git://github.com/vsyrjala/linux.git plane_sanitation_2_v4.13 but no idea what the status of the patch in Fedora is. It would be helpful if we had a version of the kernel in a COPR for users to test. Has anyone else had issues with DVDs under kernel 4.13?
