Chinese localization of TOSW
by Tommy He
Hello,
As a member of Fedora Chinese user group, personally I think that The
Open Source Way would be a great help to the growing Fedora Community
in Greater China. Before start translating it into Chinese, I would
like to hear your valuable advice on the following questions:
1. What is the plan of localization for TOSW? So far I am unable to
find specific wiki pages on this topic. I would be very pleased to
hear from Red Hat Community Architecture team and many other
contributors on this topic.
2. If the localization for TOSW could work, what is the ideal place to
host this Chinese copy? If possible, a branch of TOSW wiki would be
the best place IMO. But if there are some practical difficulties, will
it be OK if hosting this on other places(have not decided yet)?
Kind regards,
Tommy He

TOSW Hack-Fest Stanford, CA
by Mark
Hello everyone, this idea started on Facebook; in keeping with radical
transparency- it's now on the ML.I have been studying TOSW in order to help
me better serve the Communities of Practice I am part of. Recently I have
become interested in sharing (and teaching) TOSW. After talking about this
with Ryan Singer; he figures that is deserving of it's own hackfest.
Here is what we have so far-
* Karsten Wade has indicated interest in leading
* Larry Cafiero, and other Open Source folks of note are also interested
* Ryan can get us a lab-space at Stanford that will hold about 60 people
* November 20th appears to be the most likely day
I am under the impression that this day will not only benefit the
participants, it can help many communities of practice. We should be able to
find some good examples to be added to this important resource. My mind has
already started swirling with potential participants
