Adjust System Time has no effect
by Adam Clark
When I try to adjust the system time, it does not appear to take any
effect. Is anyone else having this problem?

No search in konq4?
by Neal Becker
There is no search menu (google, wiki,...) to the right of the location
toolbar in my konq4. Is it just misconfigured, or is this feature missing?

F9 text editor printing has very small margins
by Gerry Tool
Both gedit and kwrite in my F9 system print out their pages with very
small, about .25", side margins. They both used to print with larger
margins which were more suitable for punching holes and insertion in a
notebook.
Anyone else confirm this?
I can't find a way to set it differently, and would really like to
have the old wider margins back.
Thanks.

Samba n0t working in gnome desktop
by Martin Coker
I have read previous posts listings, but do not seems to have found
answer to the problem:
I am unable to browse the network shares from the f9 gnome desktop. I am
able to see the f9 shares on the machine and access them from all other
networked boxes including in network on the f9 I can mount and access
the network shares on other machines using the
mount -t cifs option and specifying the ip, share and mount point. So it
seems that there is nothing fundementally wrong with samba. I have
disabled SElinux and Firewall and have been comparing as much as I can
from the working f8 install. Having spent hours now trying to find out
what is wrong I am totally lost at what to look at next. I see the
following errors.
in May 3 10:07:43 LINSERVER kernel: gvfsd-smb-brows[5652]: segfault at
0 ip a601d8 sp 41065000 error 6 in libnss_wins.so.2[a29000+152000]messages
In samba log:
[2008/05/03 10:07:43, 0] lib/util_sock.c:get_peer_addr_internal(1601)
getpeername failed. Error was Transport endpoint is not connected
Any help much appreciated

/dev/mapper/isw_* devices missing after kernel-update
by Lars Hamann
Hi,
I'm missing the device files of my ICH9R RAID1 Volume.
After updating the kernel to kernel-2.6.25-14.fc9.x86_64 the device
files /dev/mapper/isw_* are gone. The system is booting fine though. Was
this change intentional, or should I file a bug?

Lars

So what is the latest Koji kernel for F8? I know! I know!
by Gilbert Sebenste
Look at the log, carefully...
* Fri May 02 2008 John W. Linville <linville(a)redhat.com> 2.6.24.5-90
- iwlwifi: fix debug messages during scanning
- iwlwifi: fix current channel is not scanned
- rt2x00: Don't enable short preamble for 1MBs
- rt2x00: Fix quality/activity led handling
- Make linux/wireless.h be able to compile
- b43: Fix some TX/RX locking issues
* Thu May 01 2008 Chuck Ebbert <cebbert(a)redhat.com> 2.6.24.6-89
- Linux 2.6.24.6
We went back from 2.6.24.6.89 to 2.6.24.*5*.90? Or is that a typo?
Oh well, I'm crazy enough to install it and find out...
(insert kernel installation noises here. Could be the sound of a bulldozer
or a bird chirping or anything in between. ;-) )
Yep, it's just a typo on John's part. Can you make a minor correction note
for next time? Also, Given that .24.6 is the last official update, more
than likely, I'm guessing .90 is the last official f8 kernel coming,
minus any security stuff that needs to be fixed.
