gnome-packagekit not showing all packages
by Joe Smith
I noticed with yesterday's updates, that choosing "show updates" from
the update icon on the panel showed only four packages to be updated.
One of the four packages was openoffice.org-writer. I thought it was odd
that the rest of the ooo packages were not there, so I ran yum to
compare. "yum update" showed more than a dozen packages to be updated,
including all the ooo packages.
I ran the update from the command line.
Is this the intended behavior--maybe the whole bunch of ooo packages
were condensed behind one label?
Seemed strange to me anyway--any thoughts?

Trying to install VMware-workstation on F9 Preview
by Patrick O'Callaghan
I'm running F9 Preview + updates on x86_64 hardware. I downloaded
VMwareWorkstation-6.0.3-80004.x86_64.rpm and installed. On running
vmware-config.pl I get the following errors:

F9 menu issues
by Anne Wilson
The new kde-style menu responds to mouse-over, and there doesn't seem any way
to stop it. To get a sub-menu you have to click on the group member, and if
the item you want isn't there you have to click on the < button. This is all
very slow. I think it will bring a storm of criticism.
Switching to the classic menu, I find that some sub-menus display over the top
of the main menu - not all sub-menus, just some of them. That's probably a
bug that should be reported.
These are personal reactions, but interfere with my working comfort.

FC9 xorg.conf
by Jim
Woiuld someone PLEASE!! send me a copy of your FC9 xorg.conf, It didn't
setup my mouse in xorg.conf.
I prefer to have a xorg.conf that is on a LAPTOP.
I ran a FC9-live and it does not produce a /etc/X11/xorg.conf file.
Thanks

I connect the Logitech with the Bluetooth Wizard ( it is detected) I
just click on "Connect" and it connects, then I remove Usb mouse and use
the Bluetooth Mouse, but if I let the bluetooth mouse sets idle, (10-20

List anaconda package groups
by Mauriat M
Hi,
How do I get a list of all specific packages included in a group
listed in Anaconda?
For example: What RPM's are installed with "Fedora Packager"?
Is there some simple way to determine this?
Thanks,
Mauriat

ext4 in F9 prerelease for x86_64
by David G. Mackay
I just installed f9-pre for x86_64, and couldn't get the ext4 option for
my file system, even though I lied to it with the iamanext4developer
option. Did I miss something?
