#3145: Tag request for F-12 for gtkmm24 -----------------------------+---------------------------------------------- Reporter: denis | Owner: rel-eng@lists.fedoraproject.org Type: task | Status: new Milestone: Fedora 12 Final | Component: koji Keywords: | -----------------------------+---------------------------------------------- Apparently there is a ABI breakage with gtkmm24 2.18.1 (which is the current version for F-12 final). See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=533638 (filed by gnote developper Hubert Figuiere).
Most of the gtkmm-using apps in F-12 were not compiled against 2.18.1, but seem stable nonetheless, based on my own testing and from the lack of bugs filed.
So the question is: do we leave things as they are now and push 2.18.2 directly to stable after F-12 is released, or do we take preemptive action and tag 2.18.2 for F-12 final. I realize it may be too late for this anyway. However I'm pretty nervous about shipping a known ABI-breaking lib into F-12 final as you can imagine...
