Summary: Review Request: gauche-gtk - Gauche extension module to use GTK
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=188176
------- Additional Comments From gemi(a)bluewin.ch 2006-05-03 18:28 EST -------
The failure on i386 is due to inconsistent naming of the arch
directory in gauche, there are both i386-redhat-linux-gnu and
i686-redhat-linux-gnu, so that the so files could not be found.
I patched gauche, so that the both are the same.
This problem doesn't occur on x86_64. The problem
you reported is probably not from gauche but from gauche-gtk itself.
I will look at it, probably missing -fPIC when compiling the sources,
just as the error message says.
Gauche is being rebuild. Please check it out as soon as it gets to the
repositories and try the following:
- start gosh
- enter "(use srfi-1)"
this should now return #<undef> and no error any more.

Looks ok to me, just one final clarification:
The no-undefined patch is there just to help ensure that no undefined non-weak
symbols sneak out in the libs later? The gtkgdkdep patch already results in
libgtk being linked with libgdk and takes care of them in this case, no?
FWIW, in case you didn't notice, glib has some undefined symbols as well in
libgmodule-1.2.so.0.0.10 and libgthread-1.2.so.0.0.10.

I've contacted the author about this issue. Thanks a lot for spotting it, as I
thought I had some strange ape/id3 tag problem on the mpc files I was trying to
open with that plugin...

Since /usr/share/dbus-1/services/ is owned by dbus, I think you've found a bug
in dbus, which should own the /usr/share/dbus-1/ directory.
The af and et directories should be owned by glibc-common if I'm not mistaken,
as many other translations are already there too.
Did you file these bugs already, or do you want me to do it?

Replacing the make line with :
%{__make} %{?_smp_mflags} CXXFLAGS="%{optflags}"
Fixes those CXXFLAGS being set by the configure script. A patch to configure.ac
+ running autoconf seems overkill but would probably be cleanest. Opinions?
Updated 1.2-2.1 spec file available from the same location :
http://svn.rpmforge.net/svn/trunk/rpms/xmms-musepack/
(note that I will remove the 2 first lines and add %{?dist} to the final spec)
