I am +1 to letting people choose at their own discretion to follow the
issue tracker separate from the mailing list. Anyone can follow / watch
the repository to receive notifications for new activity, like issues.
In my experience with CommOps, we enabled this functionality but it was
at the expense of discussion – it suffocated our mailing list with
ticket comments and we had less participation in actual discussion
(other than tickets).
I think the majority of people who might engage with Mindshare outside
of the committee will have some familiarity with the Fedora community
and its tools, like Pagure. I think if we clearly communicate where the
Pagure repo is and how to follow discussions, this will be a non-issue.
