MindShare can be benefit of using *discussion.fp.o*, the TEAM can open a Sub-Category there and start some of Discussion there, under *Project Conversations Category* like CommOps does. - https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/about-the-project-conversations-cate… @riecatnor is a mod there.... I think The TEAM can benefit from this.... WDYT? Regards.,

To add historical context, we did discuss Mastodon at some point in the last couple years—I forget exactly when. There was no opposition to a Mastodon as a concept, but it was more an issue of who manages it. Most/all of Fedora's social media accounts are managed by Red Hat employees in RH's Open Source Program Office, with some volunteers on a few accounts. When it was last proposed, the discussion faded out because the folks managing Fedora's social media account were concerned there were already many platforms to cover and things would get dropped. For example, we used to have profiles on GNU Social and Diaspora, but I'm not sure if they were actively maintained. Account permissions and privileges is an issue still faced by Fedora's other social media accounts too. Hi everyone! Earlier this week I started a thread about the next decade of Fedora over on the devel list https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archives/list/devel@lists.fedoraproject.org… It wasn't a particularly premeditated post -- I just had some beginning-of-the-year energy to use. :) While -devel is somewhat technically focused, it's also our list with the most traffic so I kind of arbitrarily posted there -- but it's not just a technical discussion, so I do invite anyone who is more involved on the Mindshare side and doesn't follow devel closely to join in!
