Also, several terminal emulators have "Quake-Style" even when that's not
their nature, like tilix.

Agreed! these tend to do quite well. If doing a collection of dropdown
terminals post too, be sure to test them out on Workstation / wayland too,
as i know some of these need additional tweaks to get things like the
keyboard shortcuts working properly on Fedora Workstation.
