Editors: Pagure-Taiga plugin for streamlining issue to card creation

Hello Editors, After the last magazine meeting, I was looking at Pagure issues for topics that reflected what had been discussed as potential workload decrease for the transfer of issues (proposals) for Fedora Magazine articles from our pagure instance to the Taiga cards we use for article progress tracking. There is a plugin available at this link https://github.com/Pagure/pagure-taiga. It may be what we are needing. Stephen

Pods in podman article

It says unassigned yet in the KanBan so hope nobody minds I started working on this one. I'm not great with podman either and already learned a few things just typing up the introduction part. Sorry if that's not how this is supposed to work feel free to delete it. Have to go to work now and I'll try to listen to some talks on the subject and learn more and hopefully get more written afterwords. So, hello everybody! Been reading FM since a good while now and thought it could be nice to keep me busy (well, even busier than what I am, actually!) over these days. I've been using GNU/Linux for the past 20yrs or so and, in the past, I've been writing for a few Italian magazines about OpensSource, GNU/Linux. So, happy to jump on the boat! W.

Ok, so first question... Is the working title too long? :) I referenced this article for the initial idea: https://www.linode.com/community/questions/11143/top-tip-firewalld-and-ipse… My basic outline: - Installing and setting up fail2ban, specifically for sshd - Methods to monitor the fail2ban log or get the sshd jail status from fail2ban-client - How to block IPs by country . - Will include: -- The script to largely automate the process -- A SystemD service file and timerl so updates to network addresses are picked up on a regular basis. (monthly?) If I work on this much more I should probably submit it as a package :) Next steps? Thanks, Richard

article idea: Community process leads to huge Python performance gains in F32

Aleksandra pointed out to me that the Python change https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/PythonNoSemanticInterpositionSpeedup is a big deal. As we were talking about it, it occured to me that this would actually make a great whole article by itself, because of the way it changed from the earlier static-linking proposal based on community feedback. It's a great example of how community innovation really works, and how we get much better ideas and results with open development like this.
