So is there any interest in porting to e.g. uClibc or is elfutils
designed to operate only on glibc-based systems?
I maintain the "portable" branch that has cruft to allow building on some
older systems. I don't mind putting a little bit more cruft on that branch
if it's not too much. But if it is a lot of ugly, I won't put effort into
merging it. I don't know of anyone but you who thinks it is interesting or
worthwhile to build elfutils against uclibc or any other nonstandard
environment. I don't think you should expect to get much assistance there.
If you do all the work yourself and have patches that are not too ugly,
then I won't mind merging those onto the "portable" branch. If it's
nontrivial we'll have to figure out the copyright assignment issues.
