In short, in the 20 years since the fork, ImageMagick has grown a lot of
fancy new features, and may in fact be better behaved in some
security-related cases.
However, I am still in favor of replacing ImageMagick with GraphicsMagick,
because:
1. If your use case is advanced image processing for, for example, computer
vision, there are _so many other better library-based approaches_, and
2. If security is your concern, _oh god please don't do that it's too late
already_.
