From what I can see, it doesn't. It seems to use libid3tag (available
in extras) for the ID3 tags and libmad for the actual decoding of mp3s.
In the configure script, --disable-mp3 is separate from --disable-id3.
As far as I can see, mpd is in livna because it plays mp3s, not because
it reads id3 tags. But I could be wrong, in which case I'd appreciate
being corrected.
