And again you throw me a WONTFIX. I can understand you don't have time
to write patches for every small bug yourself, but I do not understand
why you reject a good patch for a real bug (macros %{version} and
%{release} (ao) returning wrong values). I don't want to m/take this
issue too personal, but I do take offense from this attitude. It
severely decreases my motivation to contribute to this "community
project" Fedora.
This patch NOT ONLY fixes the backward compatibility macros
%{PACKAGE_VERSION} and %{PACKAGE_RELEASE} BUT ALSO the currently
supported macros %{version} and %{release}. If you provide these macros
for users to configure their build environment they should return the
correct values. This patch makes it so. Hence if it is correct it should
be applied.
