If you disable the shadow text on desktop icons/labels, then it looks
very fine.
That may be work for you, but not for me. In fact, it makes it worse
for me. Personal tastes aside, though, making a user do this kind of
defeats the whole "Just Works" idea. Bug filed (#176430).
