Since the two tools
output different file types, my thinking would be
for both applications to be able to install side by side.
As packager of pyvnc2swf, I modified the existing app names in pyvnc2swf
so that their names wouldn't clash with existing fedora app names.
Possibly the same was/is needed for vnc2flv ?
You should contact the maintainer directly and see if he will
the new app (or at the very least retire the old one so a new maintainer
can obsolete it).
I don't think the old one needs retiring, since it still
expected. In fact there is already a (stale) Review Request:
