Michael Meeks at Novell has been optimizing GConf in the last few
weeks, so there should be some real wins coming from that soon.
Also, some time before F11 I'd like to look at improving how we do
schema installation so it's not such a big percentage of update time.
Jakub filed a bug about it a few weeks ago, but I haven't
looked into it yet.

If anything from this flamefest came out from that, it was worth the thread for Fedora
will install faster/update faster :)
