Hello,
there is a new version of Wireshark available in Fedora Rawhide (2.4.0)
and it comes with both Qt and GTK+ GUI. Nonetheless the upstream
developers do not support GTK version any more.
https://www.wireshark.org/docs/relnotes/wireshark-2.4.0.html
I think it's time to drop it and use Wireshark Qt version only, because
it is the only GUI supported by upstream. What do you think, do you have
any objections?
We can't maintain GTK frontend on their own as I believe. We had to
follow upstream's decision. Still I doubt we have to drop GTK GUI
right now or even in F-28 because it works rather well. How about to
keep it until it will be removed by upstream entirely or until F-28
EOL?
